Chicago, IL — Huggable Riot is proud to announce the opening of its first LGBTQ revue, Queerly Beloved, on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at The Annoyance Theatre and Bar in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

Written by a spectrum-spanning all-queer-identifying cast of first-time Rioters, Queerly Beloved explores the notion of identity and what it means to be LGBTQ in today's world. This revue prides itself on its ability to speak to its audience while never talking down to them in scenes that range from the silly and irreverent to the raw and honest including the birth of sexuality as an evolutionary concept, the difficulties of accepting the trans-lifestyle of a ghost, and Barron Trump discovering himself amid his father's second presidential term.

Queerly Beloved is written and performed by Katie Lee, Meaghan Morris, Kevin "KJ" Snyder, Evan Starkweather, and Nathaniel Strain, with music direction by John Love and is directed by Huggable co-founder Hunter Larrison.

"Queerly Beloved tells our honest truth," says Larrison. "This cast put so much of themselves into this show and these characters. Their performances range from the outlandish to the truly heartfelt and I can't wait to share this with our audience."

Queerly Beloved will run every Wednesday at 8 pm for six weeks beginning Oct. 4 at The Annoyance Theatre and Bar, located at 851 W. Belmont, just off the Belmont Red and Brown Line stops. Each show is approximately one hour. Tickets can be purchased in advance online for $10 or $12 at the door.

About Huggable Riot — Formed by Amy Anderson and Hunter Larrison, Huggable Riot is comprised of various actors, writers, and improvisers based in the Chicago area. Prior to Queerly Beloved , Huggable Riot produced 13 original sketch revues as well as an archive series and a drinking-themed game show. They have also performed in New Orleans as part of the 2015 and 2016 Hell Yes! Fests and the past two Chicago Sketch Comedy Festivals. They currently serve as an artist-in-residence at the Annoyance, where they perform every Wednesday evening on the theater's mainstage.
