Howard Brown Health and the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA) have announced a partnership to provide no-cost COVID-19 testing in Pilsen.

The new testing site will be embedded inside the NMMA, 1852 W. 19th St., with no appointment necessary and testing services available to the public. The new location is Howard Brown's ninth COVID-19 walk-up screening site.

"Latinx communities in the U.S. have borne the brunt of the pandemic and must be prioritized for expanded assistance mitigating the virus through testing, education, contract tracing, self-quarantine, and vaccinations," said Howard Brown Health President and CEO David Ernesto Munar in a statement. "We are thankful to partner with the NMMA and provide this service to Pilsen and all surrounding communities."

All screening services are available in Spanish and English, at no cost to patients, and provided regardless of immigration status or a person's ability to pay. If an individual or family has health insurance, Howard Brown will collect that information for billing purposes.

The hours at this newest site are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays. A complete list of Howard Brown Health's COVID-19 services can be found at howardbrown.org/service/covid-19-services/.
