Principal investigator Dr. David McKirnan, Ph.D.—of the University of Illinois at Chicago and HBHC—will team with HIV prevention experts at the South Side Help Center ( SSHC ) , an HIV prevention and direct-care agency on the south side of Chicago.
'We are pleased and excited about this collaboration with South Side Help Center,' Michael Cook, Howard Brown president and CEO, declared in a statement. 'This project opens the doors to future research and programmatic partnerships around HIV prevention, particularly in communities of color where they are most needed.'
