Judy at the Palace. Liza at Radio City. Barbra at the MGM. Logainne at the BEE. These are all not to be missed moments in gay culture and now Chicago can show their pride for Spelling Bee's youngest contestant ( and the head of her elementary school's gay-straight alliance ) , Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre, on Sunday, November 5 at 6:30 p.m. as SPELLING BEE presents a specially themed gay performance for one night only. The Bee staff has taken extra careful advisement from Logainne and her two gay dads in preparing new words and definitions for an unforgettable evening of spelling and laughs with a few surprises along the way.
Tickets for 'Gay Night at the Bee' are available for purchase at the box office and all other regular points of sale. In the hilariously hip musical comedy, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. SPELLING BEE continues its critically acclaimed open-ended engagement at Chicago's Drury Lane Theatre, located at 175 East Chestnut Street.
Individual tickets range in price from $25 - $69.50 and are available at the Drury Lane Box Office ( 175 East Chestnut Street ) as well as all Broadway In Chicago Box Offices ( 24 W. Randolph St., 151 W. Randolph St. and 18 W. Monroe St. ) , through the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line at 312-902-1400, at all Ticketmaster ticket centers or online at ticketmaster.com .
