First, a clarification: to any who concluded that my use of the front door of Clark's on Clark in last week's Creaoke ad had anything to do with that unpleasant little news item which ran in Windy City Times a few months back, it didn't. Just a hilarious coincidence. But, by the special attention I received all night at Clark's, all seems to be forgiven. Somewhere, there's a certain picture on a cell phone that, well, you don't NEED to know that. Do you?
Sweet Michelle, 30 never looked so good ( not since this past October, anyway ) . Seeing you and 'friends' at Berlin was a hoot. Glad I got to be part o' your party. Why that's one of your friends on the cover, isn't it?
Finally got a chance to meet Jackie at Temptations. Wasn't hard to miss either, grinding up on the bar as she was. She's getting tips for all kinds of junk!
Thanks to Mr. Peter Mavrik ( said a la Blanche Devereaux ) for getting in on the revelry at House of Blues with Sir Frankie Knuckles on the fourth o' July weekend. Chicago's glad to have him. And Windy City Media Group is glad to be a sponsor of all his mind-blowing parties.
Stop in to Bon Bon on Clark St. You'll meet last week's cover girl, Elizabeth. She is currently busting her ass organizing to fight back against the landlords of Angel's in Andersonville, who are raising the rent to astronomically prohibitive levels. More next week about what you can do to help.
