Washington, DC — Today, the Human Rights Campaign PAC (HRC PAC) announced its endorsement of nine additional pro-equality candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives running for election in 2022.

U.S. House Candidates Endorsed by HRC Today:

Jevin Hodge (AZ-1)

Delia Ramirez (IL-3)

Nikki Budzinski (IL-13)

Eric Sorensen (IL-17)

Gabe Vasquez (NM-2)

Val Hoyle (OR-4)

Andrea Salinas (OR-6)

Michelle Vallejo (TX-15)

Greg Casar (TX-35)

Across the country, HRC PAC works to elect pro-equality leaders who will advocate for policies that will support the rights of LGBTQ+ people.

Human Rights Campaign Interim President Joni Madison released the following statement:

"The Human Rights Campaign is proud to endorse pro-equality candidates who will promote and defend LGBTQ+ equality in the U.S. House of Representatives. At a time when the LGBTQ+ community faces relentless attacks from extremist elected officials across the country, we know that this diverse group of candidates will be champions for equality and freedom."

"These leaders have continuously expressed their commitment to standing up for equality. Once elected, we are confident that they will stand up for their constituents, and all Americans."

During the 2020 election cycle, HRC staff on the ground recruited 5,800 individual volunteers nationwide who completed 28,500 hours of voter contact in more than 2,650 volunteer events. HRC engaged in robust digital and online GOTV efforts, including sending over 2.7 million person-to-person text messages, a massive increase from 2018 when approximately 500,000 texts were sent. HRC sent over 2.5 million mail pieces, had over 930,000 phone conversations with voters, and engaged more than 200,000 voters through HRC's voter dashboard at hrc.org/vote.

This endorsement comes after the HRC PAC announced its endorsements of over 180 pro-equality candidates for the House of Representatives in June and July.
