Peg Grey, the Team Chicago co-chair who was recently named as an honorary lifetime member of the Federation of Gay Games, is suffering from spinal pain, according to an e-mail Windy City Times received.
Grey was diagnosed with multiple myeloma ( bone marrow cancer ) eight years ago. In the past year, according to the missive, Grey's 'cancer numbers have been steadily climbing,' with the cancer affecting her spine. She has undergone multiple procedures to fuse her vertebrae—an extremely painful condition. Currently, she has tremendous difficulty even sitting up.
