CHICAGO, June 21, 2012 — While other morning shows can be a drag, Good Morning Boystown literally is, bringing all that is fresh and juicy about Boystown—Chicago's queerest neighborhood—to the small screen. GMB is a new LGBTQ comedy web series from Enez Productions starring Sassy Betch, Dixie Lynn Cartwright and Wendy Ho!

(Video: www.youtube.com/watch and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdlRi6mhz1E)

Part All About Eve, part Fernwood 2 Night, Good Morning Boystown is currently running a crowdfunding campaign through IndieGoGo ( www.indiegogo.com/GoodMorningBoystown&; offering perks such as branded T-shirts, latte mugs and shot glasses—not to mention custom voicemail recordings and autographed scripts—to fans pledging their support. Sassy and Dixie have even recorded a fan update video, Spa Day, to help drum up support for the show in the remaining days of the campaign. Funds from crowdfunding efforts will go to help film the first of five episodes for Good Morning Boystown—with more episodes planned for the near future.

Co-host Sassy Betch has long dreamt of the heights of local morning show TV success, and has done many, many unspeakable things on her path to stardom. (Seriously, some folks refuse to speak of Sassy at all.) The bright lights and fame of morning show glamour beckons, though, and Sassy is done putting that call through to voicemail while providing local politicians with a 'helping hand.'

Newcomer Dixie Lynn Cartwright (co-host) is fresh off the streets, literally, and may provide a speed bump (or two or three) to Sassy's celebrity route. Dixie's dreamt of fame ever since getting caught in the headlights of cousin Dwight's pickup truck along Route 65—and just staring back. (Yes, the family heirloom pickup had to be totaled after that.) Dixie has that certain je ne sais quoi—only without all that French-ified fancy stuff, like snails (which the Cartwright clan usually harvests every spring off Uncle Ted's VW Beetle propped up on cinderblocks in the backyard.) No, Dixie is one-of-a-kind, and confusing things like teleprompters, shooting schedules and ethics are not going to stand in her way.

With a supporting cast of a handful—including Internet and stage sensation Wendy Ho, who'll provide West Coast updates in each episode—the Good Morning Boystown crew will bring viewers up-to-speed with all that's hot and juicy in Chicago's most vibrant neighborhood. That is, if our sets and scenery survive the celebrity that is Sassy Betch and Dixie Lynn Cartwright.

About Brandon Vejseli & Enez Productions

Brandon Vejseli, Executive Producer/Creator of Good Morning Boystown, was often told by his mother that he watched too much television as a child. However, he views all that TV viewing as more 'early training.' Brandon is a 2000 graduate of Columbia College's Musical Theater program and has spent many years being a chorus boy—playing characters in Chicagoland musicals. In 2005, he decided to go back to Columbia for his MA in Arts & Entertainment Management so he could finally be the boss! In early 2010, Brandon started Enez Productions so he could tap some of the funniest talent in the industry and make some movies.

Enez Productions is a boutique digital film company specializing in comedy and drama. Previous efforts have included several short films, as well as the 12-episode web series titled The Legend of Sprada.

About Sassy Betch

Sassy Betch, co-host of Good Morning Boystown, has been schlepping her way around Boystown as the local floozy for over 15 years. However, after a spiritual awakening involving a poodle, a handkerchief, and several of Chicago's finest, she has broken the cycle, gone back to school, and is now launching her career in television. In recent weeks, she has become known as a pillar of society, spearheading many charity and social events, and becoming the toast of Boystown. http://www.youtube.com/thesassybetch

About Dixie Lynn Cartwright

Dixie Lynn Cartwright, co-host of Good Morning Boystown, was born into a modest home in a small town just outside Mobile, Alabama. Her mother, Mabel, was a cashier at the Walmart. Mabel was real proud of this, as it was the biggest Walmart on the block. Dixie's father could have been any number of stock boys, department managers, regional managers, or garbage men. In 2011, Dixie left Alabama for Chicago, where she was determined to pitch her new reality show, America's Next Top Walmart Associate, in honor of her mother. However, her path was forever altered one day as she was walked down the street and was stopped by Good Morning Boystown producer, Gayleman, when he yelled, "Hey, you! Wanna be on a TV show?" The rest is history—or as Sassy says, "I think there's been a slight mistake in my contract." http://www.youtube.com/dixielynncartwright

About Wendy Ho

Straight out of a Kansas City trailer park comes a true, American original—Wendy Ho. Crass, sexy, soulful, and ballsy, she is the definitive sexually-liberated musical comedienne. Whether she's spitting her own lyrical miracles, or jacking someone else's song into her own poetic piece of perfection, Ho owns it. Her brash and undeniable musicality has drawn comparisons from Bette Midler to Tupac (sans 3D hologram.) Equal parts dirty feminist rapper, soul singer, and musical parodist, Wendy Ho sounds like Lil' Kim and Aretha eatin' Peaches on a Lonely Island. Ho was born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Kansas City, Kansas by her high school sweetheart parents. A born misfit, she was drawn to all things urban while growing up surrounded by white trash, and was kicked out of high school choir for sounding "too black." http://www.youtube.com/user/wendytheho

Good Morning Boystown promo reels were produced by Brandon Vejseli. Motion/Graphic Design & Editing by Dan Paterno (Paterno Group). Still Photography by Dan Paterno, Hugo Forte, and Rick Aiello. Voice Over Artist: Michael Kirby. Lipstick & Lyrics concert footage & Spa Day update video filmed by Steve Maxey (Maxey MediaWorks).

Good Morning Boystown is created by: Drew Nixon, Jason Ott, and Brandon Vejseli. Executive Producer: Brandon Vejseli.
