The Sarah Siddon Society's new Executive Director Dominic Missimi will produce a musical revue, w"God, I Hope I Get It" ith 13 of Chicago's leading music theatre performers on Monday, March 5 at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire.
The program will feature the performers singing their favorite audition songs. Nationally known director David H. Bell will serve as emcee, introducing and interviewing the actors. One of Chicago's busiest and most respected music directors, Doug Peck, will serve as accompanist. The program begins at 8 p.m.
Three recipients of the Sarah Siddons Society's Leading Lady Award will performHollis Resnik, Heidi Kettenring and the 2011 award winner, E. Faye Butler. Joining them will be a roster of many of Chicago's finest music theatre talents, including Alene Robertson, Mary Ernster, Rod Thomas, Johanna McKenzie Miller, Bethany Thomas, Andy Lupp, Rob Lindley and Michael Aaron Lindner.
Chelsea Packard, currently "Elle Woods" in Marriott Theatre's "Legally Blonde" will perform alongside her husband Geoff Packard, the actor who won last year's Joseph Jefferson Award for his role as "Candide" in Mary Zimmerman's production at Goodman Theatre.
Missimi is retiring from Northwestern University this year after 32 years of service. He is founder of the University's Music Theatre Program, past director of the famed "Waa-Mu Show," and founder of the American Music Theatre Project . Missimi will also stage the Marriott's "Pirates of Penzance" opening April 4.
