Marie Newman's campaign to unseat 3rd District U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski received a boost from longtime feminist activist Gloria Steinem Feb. 4. Steinem came to town to campaign for Newman, including appearing at a benefit for the campaign hosted in Beverly by Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, Jessica Scheller, Gerry Gainer and Maureen Gainer Reilly.
