Sidetrack was recently the setting for members of the Chicago area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce to network. About 65 people attended the event from both the non-profit and global corporate world and while they mixed and mingled they noshed on food provided by Buca di Beppo.
About an hour into the event, Executive Director Christina Pinson and the Board President Liz Stallone took to the stage and thanked everyone for attending. They also spoke about the importance of the chamber and their vision for the future. Pinson mentioned their recently formed Foundation for Professional Development, which aims to help businesses get off the ground.
Following the speeches the Board of Directors were introduced and got up on stage for photos. All but one of the board members attended the event. They included Sandi Robinson, Len Mayersky, John Castronovo, Liz Stallone, Peter Perry and Timmy Samuel.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the chamber, attendees enjoyed a fondant-covered, raspberry-filled vanilla cake by TipsyCake. Created by Dana Hotel and Spa and paid for by the Fairmont Hotel, the dessert got rave reviews from the attendees.
