MADONNA ON WILL AND GRACE
Thursday, April 24, 8:05 p.m.
As part of the promotional whirlwind for her new CD American Life, Madonna guest stars as Karen's new roommate, a high-maintenance office worker named Liz. Beset by a sudden urge to meet 'real people,' Karen answers Liz's ad for a roommate. 'I didn't know what I was missing,' Karen tells her. 'The bond that can grow when two women share a tacky apartment.' Their bond is severely tested, however, when they set their sights on the same guy at a rock bar. Elsewhere, Will gets hooked on painkillers after suffering a foot injury and undergoes a drastic personality change, which vexes Grace and Jack. The Madonna episode will be followed at 8:45 p.m. by clips of guest-star stints, dating back to 1998, including Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Kevin Bacon, Cher, Demi Moore, Sandra Bernhard, Beau Bridges, Lesley Ann Warren and Joan Collins.
