LUCY: Sunday, May 4, CBS, 7-10 p.m.

Rachel York plays Lucy to Danny Pino's Desi in this new 3-hour TV biopic from the gay production team of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Chicago, Life with Judy Garland, and Martin and Lewis). Once you get past the difficulty of watching two newcomers play such well-known icons, the film is surprisingly effective and revealing. Especially fun for tidbits such as a young Bette Davis (Priscilla Bonnet) making fun of Lucy in an acting class. Once in Hollywood, Carole Lombard (Vanessa Gray) advises Lucy that her sense of humor is more important than beauty: 'Honey, tits sag. But funny ... funny is forever.'

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30

ALL MY CHILDREN (ABC, noon) Bianca has convinced Lena to stay in Pine Valley—but what will she do when she learns Lena first approached her as part of Michael's scheme to steal Enchantment's anti-aging formula???

ENTERPRISE (UPN, 7 p.m.) 'Congenitor' The crew encounters the Vissian race, who require three genders in order to procreate. Trip befriends one couple's congenitor—a being used for breeding purposes only—and discovers that this third gender suffers from extreme discrimination.

DAWSON'S CREEK (WB, 7 p.m.) Only three episodes left before the May 14 Series Finale.

TOPIC A WITH TINA BROWN (CNBC, 8 p.m.) A new occasional talk show hosted by the former editor of Talk and Vanity Fair. Gay media mogul Barry Diller and Queen Noor of Jordan are among the panel members who will discuss the post-war world.

MARIO CANTONE: COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS (COM, 8 p.m.) The gay comedian best known as Charlotte's gay friend on SEX AND THE CITY.

PRIME TIME GLICK (COM, 8:30 p.m.) Jiminy Glick (Martin Short) returns, with guests Brendan Fraser and Ice Cube (whom Jiminy mistakenly calls Vanilla Ice). Brendan reveals his naughty side in the steam room, much to Jiminy's delight. Also: 'Sex & the Saudis' and clips from Jiminy's upcoming Oxygen special, 'Jiminy Glick's Spittin' Distance USO Tour' with Liza Minnelli (played by Antoinette S. Levine).

SOUTH PARK (COM, 9 p.m.) New: Forced off their land by the owners of the Three Feathers Indian Casino, the boys rally South Park to fight the rich and powerful Indians.

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER (HBO, 9:30 p.m.) Gay horror novelist Clive Barker.

THURSDAY, MAY 1

WILL AND GRACE (NBC, 8:10 p.m) Macaulay Culkin guest stars as Karen's goofy new inexperienced divorce lawyer. 'Wait till you meet this guy,' Karen excitedly tells Will. 'He's a killer!' When Macaulay shows up in a suit that's two sizes too big, Karen confidently notes that he's won some big cases. 'Like what?' asks Will. 'Did someone inappropriately tickle Elmo?' Grace hires Jack to temporarily replace Karen.

FRIDAY, MAY 2

SCHOOL'S OUT: THE LIFE OF A GAY HIGH SCHOOL IN TEXAS (MTV, 9:30 a.m.) Inside the first private gay and lesbian high school in the country—Walt Whitman High in Dallas, Texas.

SUNDAY, MAY 4

THE ROMAN SPRING OF MRS. STONE (SHO, 7 p.m.) A new film version of the Tennessee Williams play, which was also the basis of a 1961 film starring Warren Beatty and Vivien Leigh. A recently widowed actress (Helen Mirren) has a fling with a young Italian gigolo (hunky Olivier Martinez of Unfaithful). Anne Bancroft has a great supporting role as a down and out aristocrat. Roger Allam plays a Williams-like Southern gay playwright.

SIX FEET UNDER (HBO, 8 p.m.) David attends the funeral of Keith's great-aunt.

OLIVER BEENE (FOX, 8:30 p.m.) Oliver's new dog hates him. With Taylor Emerson as Oliver's gay best friend Michael, 'the most fabulous kid in class.'

DARK ROOTS: THE UNAUTHORIZED ANNA NICOLE (SHO, 9 p.m.) No episode of Queer As Folk this week ... instead, a documentary on the early years of Anna Nicole Smith from Gabriel Rotello—(the founding editor of the '80s Manhattan gay activist weekly Outweek) —and Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato of World of Wonder (Party Monster). Among the scoops: Anna Nicole's former lesbian lover of 3 years, Sandy Powledge, explains how she came to have a large tattoo of Smith's face on her back: 'I had another girlfriend's name on my back, and every time I turned around she would slap me and say, 'If you really loved me, you'd get me tattooed on you.' I was the first to get an Anna Nicole tattoo.'

TUESDAY, MAY 6

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (UPN, 7 p.m) The countdown to the May 20 Series Finale continues: Faith restores calm to the rattled Potentials after the power goes out in Sunnydale.

NYPD BLUE (ABC, 9 p.m.) New: Evidence leads Jones to a lowlife who may be sitting on info about Valerie's assault. With Bill Brochtrup as the precinct's gay receptionist John Irvin.
