Gay Games VII invites the entire community to a free Holiday celebration Sun., Dec.19, noon-4pm
Windy City Field House, 2367 W. Logan, corner of Logan and Western.
Gay Games VII is throwing the party, with free food, entertainment, and inspirational Gay Games videos, in celebration of local participants, volunteers and everyone helping organize Gay Games VII.
Attendees can play pick up games of basketball, volleyball or badminton and receive great giveaways from Chicago-area businesses. There will be hourly entertainment including live Martial Arts and cheerleading demonstrations. Many local sports and community organizations are contributing to the party, and encouraging their members to attend and register for Gay Games VII now. Participants can now save $50 off the individual registration price, teams save hundreds! Early registration discounts end December 31st.
About Gay Games VII
Gay Games VII Sports and Cultural Festival takes place 15-22 July 2006. Over 12,000 athletes from more than 100 countries will compete in 30 sports ranging from softball to dancesport, swimming to tennis. The weeklong event includes an ancillary arts festival, band, cheerleading and chorus performances, and a series of community-organized social events and parties. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 15 July at Soldier Field home the Chicago Bears. Closing ceremony is 22 July at Wrigley Field, home the Chicago Cubs and located in the heart of Chicago's largest LGBT neighborhood. Hundreds of athletes and artists from countries as diverse as Taiwan, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Canada and the USA are already signed up, taking advantage of early registration discounts.
