People who want to experience the summer extravaganza known as the Gay Games all over again can do so by purchasing event photos on the Internet.
More than 60 official professional photographers took pictures of athletes, cultural events, ceremonies and fans throughout the week of July 15-22. The Chicago organizers of the Games have now made thousands of those photos available to the public on a special Web site at gallery.gaygameschicago.org .
Photos are divided into galleries by sport for preview prior to individual purchase and download. There are also photo galleries of the Opening and Closing ceremonies; cultural events; and affiliated arts events and parties.
Also available are photo DVDs that include complete sets of pictures organized by sport as well as a photo DVD with images from the two gala ceremonies. For example, the 'Power Sports Photo DVD' includes more than 400 images from the Gay Games physique competition, 150 shots from wrestling and 150 powerlifting images, while the 'Ceremony DVD' includes more than 1,200 pictures from the big events at Soldier and Wrigley fields. Fans can even buy the entire 10-DVD collection of photos.
The cost to purchase and download a single high-resolution photo is $3.99. Photo DVDs are $14.99 each, and the entire 10-disc set can be purchased for $99.99. Prices do not include shipping, handling and sales tax if in Illinois. Purchasers can pay via credit card or check.
All images and DVDs available online at gallery.gaygameschicago.org, or for questions e-mail info@gaygameschicago.org, or by phone at 773-907-2006. |
