QUEER EYE RATINGS
QUEER EYE's second episode on Bravo only had a small drop in viewers, from 1.64 million total viewers to 1.569 million, and
was up 7 percent in the adult 25-54 demographic. The July 22 second episode was also seen by 1.147 million viewers in the adult
18-49 category.
In the basic cable ratings world, QUEER EYE beat MTV's THE REAL WORLD and THE OSBOURNES this week, but came in No.
2 to FX's new plastic surgery drama NIP/TUCK, created by out gay producer Ryan Murphy (POPULAR).
'The increase in numbers from week to week is exactly what you hope for with a new show,' said Bravo President Jeff Gaspin.
'This confirms that we have a hit and its clear that QUEER EYE is a water cooler series.'
Meanwhile, NBC's specially edited one-time half-hour version of the series premiere, which aired after WILL & GRACE July 24,
had surprisingly few cuts of what might be called The Extreme Gay Material. NBC left in references to The Straight Guy's jockstrap, as
well as Carson's frequent pawing of the makeover subject; and only edited out the Glory Hole joke.
