Family and friends of Chicago shooting victim Dan Proctor have released a statement to the media. According to police, Proctor, 37, suffered a gunshot wound to the head at 3:15 a.m. on June 26 at 1400 W. Carmen in Andersonville.
The release includes a list of Proctor's acting accomplishments and details regarding a donation that the Actor's Equity Foundation has started to help defray the family's expenses. To make a donation, either visit www.actorsequity.org or send checks ( made out to 'The Proctor Family' ) to: Actor's Equity Foundation c/o Actor's Equity Association, 125 S. Clark, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60603. According to the release, 100 percent of the donations go to the family and they are tax-deductible.
A Web site for Proctor has already been established; it is www.danieljproctor.com .
The site includes updates, a gallery and even a message board. According to a July 5 update on the Web site, doctors have now taken Proctor off paralytic drugs. 'His ICP ( inner cranial pressure ) numbers have dropped to the point where they feel comfortable taking him off the paralytics,' the site states.
'He has built up to giving people eyebrows and shoulder shrugs.'
