—Masks and Myths: Devils and Dancers from Sri Lanka: The 1893 World's Columbian Exposition hoisted Chicago into the worldwide consciousness. The Sri Lankan dancers will offer representation of African and Asian cultural expressions that were presented on the grounds of the world's fair, such as Balinese Gamelan, Japanese classical dance, and African drumming, while also incorporating reflections of contemporary influences. —The Body Passages Series: Don't miss the culmination of a partnership between dancers and poets around the theme of activation.
