There will be an event to remember the victims of the Aug. 14 car crash at Black gay nightspot Jeffery Pub on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m. at Rainbow Beach Field House, 3111 E. 77th St.

The victims were Devonta Vivetter, 27, of Chicago; Jaylen Ausley, 23; and Donald Huey, 25, of suburban South Holland. A fourth person was injured. The car was located; however, no person has been apprehended in connection with the incident.

Last week, Jeffery Pub owner Jamal Junior messaged Windy City Times, "This is still under investigation and our condolences are with the families of those affected. The entire Jeffery Pub is stunned and overwhelmed by this tragedy. So please allow us time to grieve and understand what really happened."

Brave Space Alliance, Life Is Work, Lighthouse Church of Chicago UCC and the Lighthouse Foundation will be sponsoring the event.
