Equality Illinois to honor Baim, Rainbow Cafe LGBT Youth Center at gala

Equality Illinois will present its annual gala on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave., starting at 6 p.m.
The organization will honor Tracy Baimformer publisher of Windy City Times and current publisher of the Chicago Readerfor her 35-year career in Chicago journalism; and the Rainbow Cafe LGBT Youth Center in Carbondale for its work on behalf of LGBTQ youth in southern Illinois.
The gala brings together 1,500 people each year to celebrate the power and energy of the LGBTQ community.
