Singer Kelly Clarkson has said that she only likes men. In an interview with AOL's PopEater.com, the former American Idol winner said that "People are like 'Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I'd really love it.' Lesbians tell it to me all the time." She added, "'I'm glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.' I could never be a lesbian. I would never want to date someone like myself, ever." Clarkson—who has the hot new single "My Life Would Suck Without You"—also said that she does not care if people are "Black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever."
American Idol judge Paula Abdul told the publication OK Weekly that adding a fourth judge ( Kara DioGuardi ) was a mistake, according to the L.A. Times. Abdul said that " [ i ] t takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show." Some have seen Abdul's talk as a way for her to gracefully leave the series; this is the last year of her contract. DioGuardi was reportedly hurt by Abdul's comment.
Lesbians Rachel Maddow and Suze Orman are among the the winners of this year's 34th Gracie Awards presented by American Women in Radio & Television, according to BroadcastingCable.com . This year's awards are being held June 3 at the Broadway Ballroom of the New York Marriott Marquis in Manhattan, where almost 50 other recipients will be honored, including Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Kathy Griffin and the ABC program Samantha Who?
In an interview with Playboy magazine, country singer Kenny Chesney denies being gay, according to the Arizona Republic. "What guy who loves girls wouldn't be angry about that? I didn't sign up for that," Chesney said about gay rumors. "I'm pretty confident in the fact that I love girls. I've got a long line of girls who could testify that I'm not gay." Regarding his brief marriage to actress Renee Zellweger, Chesney said that he "didn't have any clue as to what true marriage meant."
In his newest movie, director Guy Ritchie is turning Sherlock Holmes gay, according to livenews.com .au. In the upcoming film, Holmes ( played by Robert Downey, Jr. ) engages in a homoerotic relationship with his sidekick, Dr. Watson ( Jude Law ) . Downey said: "We're two men who happen to be roommates, wrestle a lot and share a bed. It's badass." |
