Federal prosecutors said they aren't going to pursue how actor Heath Ledger ( 'Brokeback mountain' and 'The dark Knight' ) got his hands on prescription drugs. Earlier this year, Ledger died from an overdose of painkillers. Federal investigators were looking into whether or not the drugs were obtained illegally, but decided to drop it. No charges have been filed. Investigators can look into the case at another time if they wish.

Singer Clay Aiken is officially a daddy. The former Idol contestant recently welcomed the birth of a baby boy. Aiken artificially inseminated 50-year-old friend Jaymes Foster. The child, Parker Foster Aiken, was born in Aiken's North Carolina home. Rumors have been swirling about the singer's sexuality for years.

At a recent New York concert, Kanye West spoke out against homophobia. At his Glow in the Dark concert at Madison Square Garden, West said that he often is pegged as gay because of the way he dresses. The Chicago native said that anti-gay slurs such as 'fag' are 'disrespectful.' 'Open your minds and live a happier life,' he said.

Manhunt, one of the most popular hook up sites for gay men, has been poking fun of the fact that D-List comedian and actress Kathy Griffin has been giving the site the cold shoulder. Manhunt has been trying to contact the gay-friendly Griffin to see if she wants to join in on a marketing campaign for one of their sister Web sites, but so far, she hasn't returned a single call. In response to her supposed lack of response, Manhunt recently put up a banner ad that reads, 'Does Kathy Griffin think Manhunt is on the D-List?' The ad features a Griffin lookalike. According to the Huffington Post, out lesbian comedian and former daytime talk show host Rosie o'donnell might get herself a variety show. According to reports, NBC and O'Donnell are in the midst of discussion a live variety show

starring her.

Miley Cyrus of 'Hannah Montana' fame said there is no way she's going to lock lips with 'I Kissed a Girl' singer Katy Perry at the upcoming Teen Choice Awards. During an interview, Perry said that she wanted to engage in a Madonna-Spears smooch with Cyrus during the awards. In response, Cyrus told E! Online, 'No thanks. She sang on my record. So I think she's kind of getting back at me, because she was doing harmonies and backgrounds.'

At the recent San Diego 2008 Comic-Con, 'Bones' actor Michaela Conlin said that her character might have a lesbian romance in the upcoming season, which starts September. Conlin plays Angela, co-worker and best friend to the main character, forensic scientist Temperance

'Bones' Brenner ( Emily Deschanel ) . In past seasons of the Fox crime drama, Angela has hinted that she has had a prior lesbian relationship. Her character is currently engaged to a male co-worker.

Variety.com reports that new Line Cinema has made a deal with out director John Waters to write a 'hairspray' sequel. The second helping of 'Hairspray' would be a sequel to the 2007 musical remake, which featured John Travolta, Christopher Walken and others. According to the report, nobody has been cast for the film yet, but it will be released July 2010.

The NBC remake of the '80s hit series 'Knight Rider' might be dropping the bisexuality of Sydney Tamilia Poitier's character, Carrie Rivai. In the two-hour television movie that aired this winter, it was suggested that Poitier's character was either bisexual or lesbian. However, during a Television Critics Association press tour, the show's producers said that they 'haven't explored her sexuality at this point.'
