Red-haired Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon, who is usually quiet about her four-year relationship to activist Christine Marinoni, recently opened up to reporters, according to OK! magazine. 'I'm in a fantastic relationship,' she told reporters while out and about promoting the upcoming Sex and the City film. 'We shop and cook and raise children. We both pitch in.' She was also reported as saying, 'I'm in love with her because she's her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don't know.'
Juno star Ellen Page fanned the lesbian rumor flames when she recently hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live. In an interesting sapphic skit, Page played a girl geeked out on everything lesbian after returning from a Melissa Etheridge concert. After her character's boyfriend, played by Andy Samburg, pointed out her newfound gayness, Page said, 'Why does everything have to have a freaking label? Why can't I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?' Many are wondering if the skit is in response to recent rumors about Page's sexuality.
Lesbian Buffy fans—get ready to faint. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which has been resurrected as a comic book for Season 8, features a bisexual story arc. Issue #12 features main character Buffy in bed with a beautiful woman named Satsu, who is in love with Buffy. This is not the first time the series has touched on LGBT themes. Characters Willow and Tara were in a lesbian relationship during the television series.
According to Reuters, Selma Blair ( 'Cruel Intentions' ) will play a lesbian high school teacher in a new comedy. In the independent film, 'Driving Lessons,' Blair will play a lesbian high school teacher who falls in love with a student. Madeline Zima ( 'Californiacation' ) will play the student. |
