Best known for her role as the emcee in Cirque du Soleil's long-running hit show Zumanity, at the NY-NY Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Edie will be performing at Chicago venue Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Ave., on Friday, March 4, at 8 p.m.
Doors open at 5 p.m.
After a sold-out summer tour visiting Portland, Fire Island, Provincetown, Palm Springs and Las Vegas of her new show, "Las Vegas Showgirl: Unleashed," Edie will perform that show in Chicago.
In "Unleashed," Edie takes a look back at what led her from her hometown of Portland to the bright lights of New York City and eventually to Las Vegas. The show is a high-energy, high-kicking semi-autobiographical look at a performer's career through song, stories, comedy, videos and lots of dance. (She began her professional dance career at age 18 with Ballet Oregon. For the next eleven years, she danced with various ballet companies before moving to New York to pursue musical theater.)
Tickets are $30 each; visit DavenportsPianoBar.com .
