Drag-and-dining venue Lips to open Aug. 22

Lips, a drag-and-dining venue, will have a grand opening Thursday, Aug. 22, at 2229 S. Michigan Ave.

Just some of the drag performers will include Mimi Marks, Shavonna B. Brooks, Ruff N' Stuff, Angel LeBare, Delilah J. Brooks, Kinley Preson, Vivian Dejour, Cleo Pockalipps, Sasha Love Bonet and Ryan Royale.

Lips Chicago opens to the public Friday, Aug. 23. Specialty drag shows will include Twisted Broadway ( on Wednesdays ); Dinner with the Divas! ( on Thursdays ); Glitz & Glam ( on Fridays and Saturdays ); and Dragalicious Gospel Brunch and Showstopper Sundays ( on Sundays ). The venue is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
