Dance for Life leaped into its annual fundraiser (this year on Aug. 17) at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, where out 44th Ward Ald. Tom Tunney will be master of ceremonies.

The recent launch party was held at the Auditorium Theatre's Katten Landau Studio June 17. Attendees sampled appetizers and sipped on fruity martinis. Ron De Jesus Dance and Extensions Dance Company performed to the delight of the crowd, providing just a taste of what is to come on Aug. 17.

Over the past 30 years Chicago's dance community has been raising funds for HIV/AIDS prevention and education with this organization. Many of Chicago's top dance companies are scheduled to perform in August, such as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, DanceWorks Chicago, and Giordano Dance Chicago.

Many media sponsors were on hand to spread the word, such as Chicago Pride and Windy City Media Group.

Visit www.danceforlifechicago.com for ticket information today.
