—Robert's Pizza and Dough Companyvis officially reopening in Streeterville on Friday, May 17. Now located at 465 N. McClurg Ct., Robert's Pizza will celebrate the anticipated return by giving away free slices of its signature, handcrafted pies at it's to-go window at 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on opening day ( one slice per guest ). Pizzas include duck prosciutto and The Jay ( housemade fennel sausage, calabrian peppers, fresh mozzarella, and tomato sauce ), among others.

—Curbed Chicago has an article about 26 outdoor farmers markets that start operating anywhere from this week to July. Markets will open in Andersonville, Horner Park, the Gold Coast, LaFollette Park, the Loop and many other areas. —Baptiste & Bottle, 101 E. Erie St., will offer complimentary bottomless mimosa or Bloody Mary bar for moms. —Entente, 700 N. Sedgwick St., will officially kick off its first Sunday service this Mother's Day, May 12, 5-10 p.m., at its new home. In conjunction with this launch, Executive Chef Brian Fisher and Owner/Partner Ty Fujimura also announce the addition of extended bar hours with a specially-curated menu beginning the same day. —Bellemore, 564 W. Randolph St., will offer Mother's Day brunch at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Jimmy Papadopoulos will be serving brunch entrees like Arctic char toast and Bavarian pancakes and the firebird chicken sandwich while Pastry Chef Leigh Omilisky will offer items such as dark chocolate babka, cinnamon roll kouign amann and coconut semifreddo. —Margeaux Brasserie—11 E. Walton St., at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago—will have Mother's Day brunch at 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. Guests can enjoy live jazz music alongside a three-course menu at $68 per guest and menu selections that include roasted mushroom crepe, Paris ham Benedict, steak frites, Valrhona chocolate grand macarons and Madagascar vanilla souffle. Items will include fruit, housemade granola vanilla yogurt parfaits, smoked salmon, pastries, a carving board ( roasted lamb rack; ham-brined porchetta ), bottomless mimosa and Bloody Mary bars, and more. —Lincolnwood's Stefani Prime, 6755 N. Cicero Ave., will offer its Mother's Day buffet brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with carving and omelet stations, pasta, cheese display, shrimp cocktail and more. The dinner menu will be available starting at 4 p.m. The cost is $57.95 for adults / $19.95 for kids 10 and younger.

—Northbrook's Prairie Grass Cafe ( 601 Skokie Blvd.; 847-205-4433 ) will offer Mother's Day Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. The price is $53 each for adults and $18 each for children 10 and younger ( without tax, gratuity and beverages ). Reservations are strongly recommended. Items will include artisan breads, baked feta, parmesan-crusted tilapia, New York loin, mini-eclairs and much more.

—Benny's Chop House, 444 N. Wabash Ave., will feature a specialty brunch menu at 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for moms ( and their families ). For $49, guests will be treated to a 3-course brunch with highlights including beet salad ( ricotta-balata, peach-saffron jam, thyme vinaigrette, candied pecans ), cured salmon ( potato-dill bread, shallots, capers, cream cheese ), eggs Benedict ( Cape Breton lobster or Alaskan king crab, lemon-hollandaise, brunch potatoes ), steak and eggs ( Natural USDA Prime Tournedos of Filet Mignon, soft scrambled organic eggs, hash brown potatoes ), and more. —To celebrate Mother's Day, Caffe Umbria in Logan Square and River North will offer a complimentary coffee drink for Mom on Sunday, May 12 ( limit one drink per mom ). Moms can choose any coffee drink including the new canned Nitro Cold Brew ( $4.25 ). Starting on Mother's Day, guests can also try the new Nitro Cream—which mixes the spot's Nitro Cold Brew with brown sugar simple syrup and heavy cream.

—Truluck's Seafood, Steak, and Crab House is offering Southern-inspired cuisine, limited-time brunch offerings, various libations, a special gift for mom and more on Mother's Day. In addition to culinary items like Mediterranean seafood salad, lost bread French toast and lobster avocado toast, the restaurant's mixologists have created an exclusive, mom-inspired specialty cocktail, "The Matriarch." Mother's Day hours for Truluck's Gold Coast are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Truluck's Rosemont will serve from noon to 9 p.m.

—Ina Mae Tavern will celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12, at 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with signature brunch favorites from Chef Brian Jupiter. Southern-inspired dishes include Mae's Fried Chicken & Waffle ( $15 ), crawfish scrambled eggs ( $14 ), biscuits & gravy ( $14 ) and much more. —The Trotter Project is joining forces with Roots Pizza to create a program that partners its scholars with the Roots culinary team to collaborate and create special pizzas throughout the year. —Lottie's Pub, 1925 W. Cortland St., will celebrate its 85th anniversary Saturday, May 18. To celebrate its longstanding place in Chicago, Lottie's is keeping the notorious party history alive by serving 85-cent burgers from 12-4 p.m. and 85-cent drafts all day. In 1934 Lottie's Pub, then known as Zagorski's Grocery, was turned from a neighborhood grocery store to a speakeasy at the prime of prohibition. Run by intersex individual Lottie Zagorski, the speakeasy became a popular spot for mobsters and politicians where horse betting, gambling, stripping and plenty of other vices thrived.

—A one-hour special from the James Beard Foundation ( JBF ) and Intersport, JBFA: Stories from the 2019 James Beard Awards, will premiere on The ABC Television Network on May 19. Audiences will experience the 2019 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards Gala, hosted by Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

—The Wine on 99: Willis Tower Wine Tasting Event will take place Wed., May 22, 5-7 p.m. at Willis Tower Chicago, 233 S. Wacker Dr. Guests can enjoy tastes of three City Winery Wines with the opportunity to purchase additional glasses of wine and bottles while enjoying 360-degree views of the city from the 99th floor. —The nonprofit Rogers Park Business Alliance ( RPBA ) has announced the 10th season of its Glenwood Sunday Market, with a new initiative Giving Sunday to fortify its Food Access Program. The market takes place on every Sunday from June 2 to Oct. 27, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Glenwood Avenue between Morse and Lunt Avenues, on the west side of the CTA Red Line. —Windy City Smokeout will be held July 12-14 at a new location right outside of Chicago's United Center. Hosted by Bub City and Joe's Bar, the event is the first official outdoor music festival to take place at the West Loop arena's 250,000-square-foot parking lot along Madison Street. Some of the country acts slated to perform are Old Dominion, Jessie James Decker, Parker McCollum, LANCO and Muscadine Bloodline.

—The 21st Annual Ribfest Chicago will now take place on Father's Day weekend, June 14-16. A few of the event's vendors will include City Barbeque, El Campeon, Wrigley BBQ, Porkchop, Famous Dave's and Blowin' Smoque BBQ. Tickets are $10-$50 ( VIP ) each; visit Ribfest-chicago.com .

—Band of Bohemia, 4710 N. Ravenswood Ave., has a new executive chef, Soo Ahn. Ahn joined the Band of Bohemia team following experiences in Texas, Korea, California, the District of Columbia and Illinois, as well as in kitchens at the Ritz Carlton, Grace, El Ideas and Roosters.

—Fisk & Co., 225 N. Wabash Ave., is offering Executive Chef Ashlee Aubin's new spring menu items. The restaurant is known for its mussels, and there are now items like salmon gravlax, spaghetti with lobster and crab, sauteed gnocchi and steak frites.

—Dough Bros Pizzeria & Sub Shop has debuted its brand new Chicago Cast Iron Pizza, which will be offered in addition to its New York, Detroit, Grandma and Sicilian style pies. Created by Burt Katz of Pequod's Pizza, the Chicago Cast Iron includes a lard-fried crust coated with cheese edge to edge in a round cast iron pan, creating a fried crown around the pie.

—Flight Club, 111 W. Wacker Dr., has debuted new lunch, dinner and oche ( social darts playing area ) menu items by James Beard Award winner Rick Gresh. For guests seeking a sit-down meal before heading upstairs to the darts area, new lunch and dinner items include 55-day dry-aged prime rib sandwich, pepperoni meatball sliders, roasted sea bass, bucatini pasta and more.
