New York, New York ( July 16, 2015 ) — M4D3, a dynamic social purpose online retailer, has partnered with the True Colors Fund to develop a shoe collection with a purpose.
The True Colors and M4D3 shoe collection will benefit the True Colors Fund, a leading national organization co-founded by Cyndi Lauper in 2008. The organization works to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender ( LGBT ) youth.
The True Colors Fund works to ensure that no young person is homeless again due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. Through this collaboration, M4D3 will support the True Colors Fund's broad array of public education, advocacy, youth collaboration, research, and community building programs that work to bring the percentage of homeless youth in America who identify as LGBT down from 40 to none.

"When I learned from Cyndi that LGBT youth represent up to 40 percent of all homeless youth in North America—young people who have been pushed onto the streets, simply for being true to who they are on the inside—we wanted to get involved in the great work of True Colors," says Steve Reynolds, founder, M4D3. "This shoe collection will not only benefit the True Colors Fund, but it will also allow advocates to visibly show their support and literally stand in what they stand for, which is equality for all."
Always an advocate for those who are viewed as "different", among whom she proudly counts herself, Lauper focuses her efforts to make a difference through the True Colors Fund.
