Cyndi Lauper criticized Donald Trump over his controversial remarks on same-sex marriage and President Barack Obama in an interview with Next Magazine, according to the Huffington Post. Lauper said of Trump's anti-marriage-equality stance, "I felt that what he said about the gay community was disappointing because a lot of gay people work for him. It's just sad." Regarding Trump's thoughts on Obama, she said, "If you try and make our president fail, it doesn't matter who he is, you make our country fail. And if you really are a patriot, if you really give a sh*t about our country, you don't do stuff like that."

Rihanna's "Diamonds World Tour" got off to a shaky start, according to MTV.com . After a kickoff in Buffalo, N.Y., at the First Niagara Center, the "Umbrella" singer was forced to put off her next show at the TD Garden in Boston due to illness. Live Nation released a statement saying, "Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening." The six-month Diamonds tour is slated to run through May in the United States before heading to Europe.

The American Cancer Society officially launched its 100th-birthday campaign with new ads featuring award-winning artists Josh Groban and Mary J. Blige, according to JustMeans.com . In television ads on networks including ABC, CBS, NBC and USA, Groban is shown at a bustling train station where he interrupts travelers' usual commute with an electric amplifier; Blige interrupts the typical library silence with a call to get loud and finish the fight against the disease.

TV star Valerie Harper (The Mary Tyler Moore Show; Rhoda) has revealed that she has terminal brain cancer, according to ABC News. Harper, 73, received the news Jan. 15, and now may have as little as three months to live. Harper told People magazine, "I don't think of dying. I think of being here now." Harper has a rare type of brain cancer called leptomeningeal carcinomatosis.

The BBC has cast the first installment of its two-part drama The Great Train Robbery with Luke Evans set to play Bruce Reynolds, the mastermind behind Britain's infamous 1963 heist, according to Deadline.com . Early in his acting career, Evans came out, telling The Advocate in 2002, "If people don't like it, then I don't want their jobs." However, he has subsequently been linked with women.

Barbra Streisand has signed with the talent agency UTA for representation as an actress, director and producer, according to Deadline.com . UTA will also represent her film and television company, Barwood Films. Streisand continues to be represented by her longtime manager, Marty Erlichman.

The feud between Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin is heating up, according to TheWrap.com . LaBeouf returned to Twitter to counter Baldwin's suggestion that the Transformers star wasn't made for the theater and that LaBeouf was like a "celebrity chef," who wants the applause but isn't interested in hard work. LaBeouf was set to co-star opposite Baldwin in Orphans, but left the play a month before it was scheduled to begin previews on Broadway, citing "creative differences."

The Talk creator/exec producer/co-host Sara Gilbert is returning to her comedy series roots with a co-staring role on the CBS comedy pilot Bad Teacher, according to Deadline.com . Based on the 2011 movie that starred Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake, the show will be about a former trophy wife who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime. Gilbert, an out lesbian, will play Irene—a shy, introverted drama and English teacher.

James Franco received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame March 7 (the day before the release of his movie Oz the Great and Powerful), according KABC. His star is located in front of the El Capitan Theatre, 6838 Hollywood Blvd. "Thank you for this great spot in front of the El Capitan Theatre. I hope Jimmy Kimmel comes and shines my star every morning," Franco said.

TLC announced that the upcoming 10th season of the show What Not to Wear will be its last, the L.A. Times reported. The makeover series, hosted by fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, was the network's longest-running primetime series, with more than 325 makeovers. It will air its final episodes this starting in July, where it will return to Friday nights.

As a decisive vote in the Illinois House of Representatives approaches, four celebrated Chicago athletes announced their support for marriage equality in a letter, a press release noted. The athletes are former Chicago Cub Ernie Banks and former Chicago Bears Richard Dent, Hunter Hillenmeyer and Brendon Ayanbadejo (who is now with the Baltimore Ravens). The letter reads, in part, "In Illinois today, gay and lesbian couples who are in lifetime committed relationships do not have the freedom to marry. This violates our sense of fairness and respect. It also goes against the Golden Rule of treating others as you would like to be treated yourself."

Lesbian sister duo Tegan and Sara will co-host the 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards alongside Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly March 17, according to RollingStone.com . The show itself will actually take place in Austin, Texas, on March 14 during SXSW (South by Southwest), and will feature performances from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, among others. Along with their hosting duties, Tegan and Sara are up for the "Tag Team Woodie" for "Body Work," their collaboration with Morgan Page.

Kelly Osbourne is recovering after having a seizure and collapsing on the set while filming her E! talk show Fashion Police, the L.A. Times noted. Osbourne was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after she experienced the seizure, which reportedly lasted 30 seconds. She told co-host Melissa Rivers, who was filling in for Giuliana Rancic, that she wasn't feeling well as they started taping the show in front of a live studio audience.

Nominations for the MTV Movie Awards have been announced. Among the categories are Best Shirtless Performance (with nominees including Channing Tatum, Christian Bale, Daniel Craig, Seth MacFarlane/Ted and Taylor Lautner); Best Scared-as-S**t Performance, Best WTF Moment and Best Kiss. The show—which will also feature Will Ferrell receiving the inaugural Comedic Genius Award—will take place Sunday, April 14.

Joy Behar is leaving The View. According to ABC News, Behar is leaving the show after 16 years. "You can't stay forever on a show," Behar told Good Morning America. "I am graciously exiting stage left. ... I want to explore other opportunities." Behar hosts Joy Behar: Say Anything! on Current TV, and previously hosted The Joy Behar Show on HLN.

Fallon Fox is the first transgender athlete competing in MMA (mixed martial arts), according to Sports Illustrated. She won her second professional bout with a 39-second knockout March 2 in Coral Gables, Fla. Fox, who underwent gender-reassignment surgery in 2006 along with the supplemental hormonal therapy, is scheduled to fight again for the Championship Fighting Alliance April 20 in the semifinals of its eight-woman featherweight tournament. However, Fox's license approval is now under investigation with Florida's Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation.

Parlophone in England is set to re-release Morrissey's 1991 album Kill Uncle and the single The Last of the Famous International Playboys tomorrow, but the single will not have the originally intended cover photo, according to Music News. Morrissey had unearthed a photo of himself with David Bowie from 1992 that he intended to use for the single; however, EMI U.K. told him he couldn't. In response, Morrissey is still using the photo, but has replaced Bowie's face with that of "Never Gonna Give You Up" singer Rick Astley.

Krave Massive, calling itself the world's largest gay club, opens in downtown Las Vegas June 15, according to Advocate.com . The 80,000-square-foot venue will feature five themed dance rooms, video walls, three separate bars, a martini lounge, a gay comedy club, a movie theater and even a retail store. The owner of Krave Massive is Phantom Entertainment, which also owns Neonopolis's Drink & Drag Lounge, GayLV Magazine, Boys Social Lounge, and the original Krave nightclub, now housed at the Rio Hotel and Casino.

Edward Norton has joined the cast of Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu's Birdman, the upcoming film set in and around a Broadway theater, according to Playbill.com . The Fox Searchlight and New Regency project will also feature Michael Keaton (Batman), Emma Stone (The Help), Naomi Watts (The Impossible) and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover).

Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Patti LuPone will work with aspiring performers from across the United States in the April 1 episode of the Emmy-nominated HBO documentary series Masterclass, Playbill.com noted. Portions of LuPone's Gypsy in My Soul concert engagement in Madison, Wis., were filmed for inclusion in the segment featuring the Evita and Gypsy star. During the episode, LuPone works with students on such songs as "I Miss the Mountains," "Change" and "Without You," among others.

Adam Lambert will be the headline performer at the Fifth Annual Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade and Festival, Sunday, April 14, according to a press relesae. Lambert's 2012 album, Trespassing, bettered his first album by debuting at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart—making Lambert the first openly gay artist with an album at the top of the charts. Other Pride events will include an outdoor family movie night, three women's-only events, a block party and an afternoon beach party.

In an interview with Gay Star News, actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth expressed her thoughts on marriage equality and other LGBT issues. Chenoweth said of same-sex marriage, "I just want it to hurry up and not be an issue anymore! ... I speak as a Christian person, and as a woman and as an artist. I would love nothing more for my friends who love each other to get married." She also said that Christians who use the Bible to spread hate are "anti-Christian."

The matchmaking site Guypop.com aims to help gay men discover who among their Facebook friends could be more than "just friends," according to a press release. The new site connects guys with potential dates in their own inner circle by having them secretly select Facebook friends they would consider meeting. Guypop.com only reveals the interest to both guys if and when they both select one another.

Sarah Jessica Parker has made her thoughts known about The Carrie Diaries, the CW's prequel to Parker's Sex and the City, according to US Magazine. Parker revealed to The Edit that although she thinks up-and-coming starlet AnnaSophia Robb is "lovely," she's "not sure" about how she feels about the new show. "You know, I think it's one of those tests of your generosity," she told the publication. "She [AnnaSophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it's … odd."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Miraval Rosé 2012 wine completely sold out all 6,000 bottles in five hours on the first day it was available online, US Magazine reported. Later this month, it will be back on sale, but this time for wholesalers and restaurants. Pitt and Jolie's Chateau Miraval plans to release a white wine later this summer and a few different reds throughout 2014.

Following Joy Behar, there were rumors that fellow panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck was also apparently leaving The View—but Barbara Walters said that's not so, the Huffington Post noted. Initial reports had Hasselbeck leaving because her conservative views supposedly clashed with audiences. However, on the show, Walters (who some have said might also leave) said, "The truth is, we love Elisabeth. ... We value and appreciate her point of view. ... We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show."

Multiple Emmy-winning daytime talk series The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been renewed through the 2016-17 season, according to Deadline.com . The series will continue to air on the 10 NBC-owned stations, including WNBC (New York), KNBC (Los Angeles), WMAQ (Chicago), WCAU (Philadelphia), KXAS (Dallas-Fort Worth), KNTV (San Francisco Bay Area), WRC (Washington, D.C.), WTVJ (Miami-Fort Lauderdale), KNSD (San Diego) and WVIT (Connecticut). Nationally, "Ellen" is the number-one syndicated talk show (tied with Dr. Phil) for the 2012-13 season among women 25-54.

Beyonce is one of several celebs victimized by a website that has posted the private information of some stars and political figures, the New York Daily News reported. Husband Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Vice President Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Attorney General Eric Holden and actor Ashton Kutcher were among a number of victims of a hacker who posted their detailed records online at Exposed.su. The Los Angeles Police Department and FBI are investigating the site that revealed Social Security numbers, credit-card information, car loans and even screen grabs of financial statements.

Agnetha Faeltskog—who was a member of the '70s singing group ABBA—is coming out of retirement to release her first album in almost a decade, Sky News reported. The 62-year-old singer's record company said the release, called simply "A," would come out May 13. The album features a duet with Gary Barlow of the British group Take That; the new tracks involved Faeltskog collaborating with Swedish songwriter/producer Joergen Elofsson, who has written hits for artists including Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion.

Actress/The View co-panelist Whoopi Goldberg paid the tab for some diners, the New York Daily News noted. At NYC's Old Homestead Steakhouse, a 9-year-old girl saw Goldberg and chatted her up for a bit. After talking with her admirer for about five minutes, Goldberg quietly picked up the girl's family's $400 tab, and asked staffers not to say anything until she'd made her low-key exit.

Kim Kardashian generated controversy when the reality show Kim and Kourtney Take Miami showed her getting a so-called "Vampire Facelift," the New York Daily News reported. The $1,500 procedure draws blood from the patient's arm with a needle and separates the platelets into a platelet-rich plasma using a centrifuge. The plasma is then combined with Restylane or Juvederm, and then injected into the face to stimulate collagen production to create new skin and to remove fine lines and acne scars.

Actress Angela Lansbury—famous for her role as Jessica Fletcher on the classic TV show Murder She Wrote—said that some women have been so frustrated with men's obsession with sex that they turn to women instead and become lesbians, according to Gay Star News. Lansbury, 87, was quoted in the Daily Mail as saying, "Many women have given up. In many cases, I think women prefer to have a relationship with a woman." She added that men who are devoted to marriage are becoming rare.

The NFL team the Philadelphia Eagles has offered a cheerleading job to Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, according to the New York Post. Eagles cheer director Barbara Zaun has studied the high schooler's moves and thinks she can go from Buckley school's varsity cheer to pro. The 14-year-old have to wait a few years before she can actually join the team, however, as the minimum age for the NFL squad is 18.

Al Pacino and Helen Mirren will star in HBO Films' Phil Spector, which will air March 24, according to a press release. The film, which David Mamet wrote, explores the client-attorney relationship between legendary music producer Phil Spector (Pacino) and defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden (Mirren), who represented Spector during his first trial for murder. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jeffrey Tambor co-star in the film.

Madonna stunned diners at a Brooklyn restaurant when she arrived for one of her dancers' birthdays, the New York Post noted. At the eatery Antica Pesa, Madonna was seen (with kids Lourdes and Rocco), wearing a hat, glasses and leather gloves. After a birthday-cake dessert, the dancers had the staff close the restaurant's curtains and make a dance floor for them.

Cannes Film Festival organizers announced that the glitzy Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Great Gatsby will open the 2013 event May 15, according to E! Online. The reimagining of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic literary tale, directed by Baz Luhrmann, co-stars Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan. The Great Gatsby will be screened at Cannes in 3-D—only the second such film in the festival's history, following Pixar's Up in 2009.

Gay adult-film actor Wilfried Knight has been confirmed dead in an official press release issued by Falcon Studios and Raging Stallion Studios. (A Michael Lucas statement said that Knight committed suicide.) The release noted that Knight, 35, appeared in more than 10 Raging Stallion productions in the last four years. The winner of the 2010 GayVN Award for Performer of the Year, the release also stated that Knight recently lost his partner of nine years, Jerry Enriquez, to suicide.
