Appeals Court Upholds Adoption by Gay Man in Miami; Florida's Adoption Ban Unconstitutional
MIAMI — The Third District Court of Appeal today upheld a 2008 Miami-Dade Circuit Court decision granting the adoption of two young brothers to a gay man and declaring Florida's ban on adoptions by gay a lesbian people unconstitutional. The case was brought by Martin Gill of North Miami by the ACLU of Florida.
The ACLU will hold a news conference today to explain the decision and next steps.
