Thousands of pop-culture aficionados poured into Rosemont's Donald E. Stephens Convention Convention Center for Wizard World Comic Con on Aug. 24-27.
It was the 20th year the venue hosted the event.
Among the many celebrity guests were out actor John Barrowman ( Arrow; Torchwood ), Paul Bettany ( Vision in the Avengers movies ), Summer Glau ( Firefly; Arrow ), Michael Rooker ( The Walking Dead; Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer ), Elizabeth Henstridge ( Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ), Dean Cain, Kevin Sorbo, Cobie Smulders ( Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; How I Met Your Mother ), John Cusack, Caleb McLaughlin ( Stranger Things ), Loni Anderson ( WKRP in Cincinnati ) and even rock star Gene Simmons.
However, celebrities were far from the only attractions at this huge convention. Artists/illustrators, forums ( on topics such as diversity ), merchandise, games and, of course, cosplay ( fans in costume ) also served as feasts for the eyes.
