Hillary Clinton was powerful, passionate and a team player in her rousing speech to the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night, Aug. 26, the anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote.

She said she is a "proud supporter of Barack Obama," as her daughter Chelsea, husband Bill and potential First Lady Michelle Obama applauded her.
"It is time to take back the country we love. ... The time is now to unite as a single party with a single purpose."
She said she ran to "fight for an America that is defined by deep, meaningful equality, from civil rights to labor rights, from women's rights to gay rights," which received loud applause.
She asked the crowd, filled with Hillary signs, if they "were in this campaign just for me ... or for all of the people who feel invisible," especially these past eight years.
She quoted Harriet Tubman, who told slaves to "keep going" even when the dogs were after them, to "keep going" despite any adversity, and she said that is what America is about.
Also addressing the convention Tuesday was openly lesbian U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, who spoke about healthcare.
