Starting next month, Taco Bell is launching the Taco Bell Drag Bruncha five-stop restaurant tour that aims to celebrate drag culture and the LGBTQ+ community, Food and Wine noted.
Taking place at five Taco Bell Cantina locations across the country from May 1 to June 26, the Taco Bell Drag Brunch tour is touted by the brand as "a new immersive fan experience" hosted by drag performer Kay Sedia and featuring additional local queens and kings. A statement said that patrons should expect "visual backdrops, thrilling lip syncs, and extraordinary high kicks and dips."
The tour will start Sunday, May 1, at Taco Bell's flagship Cantina location in Las Vegas. From there, events are scheduled at the Wrigleyville Cantina in Chicago, 1107 W. Addison St., on Sunday, May 22; the Nashville Cantina on Sunday, May 29; the Times Square Cantina in New York City on Sunday, June 12; and the Fort Lauderdale Cantina on Sunday, June 26.
Taco Bell said the concept came from members of Live Mas Pride, Taco Bell's LGBTQIA+ employee resource group, which was launched in 2020 and now includes over 100 employees. To further back the initiative, Taco Bell and the Taco Bell Foundation have partnered with the It Gets Better Project. Part of each Drag Brunch will be dedicated to speaking with attendees about the project.
Reservationslimited to those age 18 or olderare available exclusively through OpenTable. |
