Two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker had her first double-double of the 2021 seasonand her first ever in a Chicago uniformas the Sky (4-7) won their second consecutive game, 83-79 at Indiana on June 12, ESPN.com reported.
Parkerwho, in February, signed as a free agent with her hometown Chicago team after 13 seasons with Los Angeleshad 20 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals. She had returned to the Sky lineup June 9 in Chicago (another victory over Indiana) after missing eight games with a left ankle injury.
Parker played in the Sky's season opener, a 70-56 victory at Washington, on May 15, then was hurt in practice.
Next up for the Sky is a trip to Minnesota to face the Lynx (4-5) on Monday, June 14 (9 p.m. ET, ESPN2).
