CHICAGO (Feb. 16, 2022) — The Chicago Sky have officially re-signed veteran guards Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not released.
Over the last decade, Vandersloot and Quigley have been at the forefront of orchestrating the most successful rise for the Sky in franchise history, leading Chicago to their first WNBA Championship (2021) while becoming the first team in the WNBA history to take home the title that wasn't seeded first or second heading into the postseason, outplaying all competitors to win the WNBA Championship from the No. 6 spot.
"We are incredibly happy to announce the signatures of Allie and Sloot—we don't take these moments for granted," said Sky General Manager and Head Coach James Wade. "This is a big day for our franchise to bring back two of the biggest cornerstones in our team's history and they make every single player around them better. Both Allie and Sloot have done so much for our team and for the city to arrive at the level at this level, and it speaks so much about their character and talent."
Quigley's return marks her 10th season with her hometown team and 14th in the league. The elite shooter is Chicago's all-time leading scorer and holds the all-time franchise record for three-point field goals made, pouring in a total of 3,337 points and 454 field goals in her time the Sky. A native of Joliet, Illinois, Quigley is a three-time WNBA All-Star (2017-19), three-time WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest Champion (2017-18, 2021) and two-time WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year (2014-15) -—the only player in league history to be awarded with the honor in back-to-back seasons. She holds the record across both the NBA and WNBA in the All-Star 3-Point Contest, making more shots than any other player has in both leagues.

Vandersloot has led the WNBA in assists for the last five consecutive seasons (2017-2021). She is the first an only player in WNBA history to reach a 10.0 assists per game average and holds all-time WNBA records for: highest assists in a season (300), highest assists per-game in a season (9.1), and highest career assists-per-game (6.2). Last season, the Seattle native continued re-write the league's record book, recording the most assists in a single postseason (87), most assists in a playoff game (102), most assists in a Finals series (50), highest assist average in a playoff season (10.2) and highest assist average in a Finals series (12.5).
Vandersloot's performance has garnered her three WNBA All-Star appearances (2011, 2019, 2021), a total of 21 WNBA Peak Performer awards (2015, 2017-21). In her first season, Vandersloot was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team (2011). She now has been selected to the All-WNBA Second Team three times (2015, 2018, 2021) and the All-WNBA First Team twice (2019, 2020).
"We have built something special here in Chicago, and it didn't happen overnight," Vandersloot said. "I am proud to be a part of this franchise and beyond excited for the opportunity to join my teammates and the Sky family to try and go back-to-back!"
The pair are first and second in all-time Sky history in: points scored (Quigley 3,337, Vandersloot 3,295), double-figure scoring games (Quigley, 173, Vandersloot, 164), assists (Vandersloot 2,180, Quigley 586), field goals made (Quigley 1,256, Vandersloot 1,231), field goals attempted (Vandersloot 2,774, Quigley 2,751), three-point field goals made (Quigley 454, Vandersloot 296), three-point field goals attempted (Quigley 1,134, Vandersloot 855).
