At Chicago's Wintrust Arena, the Chicago Sky lost to the Washington Mystics 89-85 in an overtime matchup on July 10.
Chicago had five players (Kahleah Copper, Stefanie Dolson, Courtney Vandersloot, Allie Quigley and Candace Parker) score in double figures.
With her sixth rebound in the game, Sky forward Parker became the ninth player in WNBA history to grab 3,000 rebounds. In fact, she reached this total in just 349 games, which is the fourth-fastest in league history.
Sky guard Vandersloot dished out 15 assists against the Mystics, which was her 65th game with double-figure assists. As a result, she moved past Ticha Penicheiro (64 games) to set a new WNBA record.
Vandersloot, Parker and Copper will participate in the 2021 WNBA All-Star Game on Wed., July 14, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas. In addition, Quigley will take part in the MTN DEW 3-Point Contest during halftime. Sky fans can catch all of the action by tuning into ESPN at 6 p.m. CT.
