School bd. endorses anti-homophobia curriculum
The Santa Fe school board has expressed support for the district's new anti-homophobia curriculum, the Albuquerque Journal reports.
The 50-page curriculum is not mandatory, and parents have to be notified in writing before the lessons are discussed in class. The school board did not vote on the curriculum, but did give teachers permission to use it. The Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center created the Project Glyph curriculum, drawing from several models around the country.
