The daughter of the late actor Cary Grant said that her father was not gay, but that he liked the speculation because it made women desire him more, according to Advocate.com . Jennifer Grant—the daughter of Cary and actress Dyan Cannon—writes in her book, Good Stuff: A Reminiscence of My Father, "Dad somewhat enjoyed being called gay. He said it made women want to prove the assertion wrong," adding that he might have "even mildly flirted back" with other men.

In an apparent turnaround, a rep for Rosie O'Donnell said that the talk-show host will not be staying at the Trump Hotel when she moves to Chicago, Advocate.com reported. In an email, the rep stated, "She is NOT going to be living or renting a Donald Trump apartment and is still looking at real estate options." During a recent interview with Howard Stern, O'Donnell said that she would be staying at the hotel owned by the potential presidential candidate—who, incidentally, has said that he is against same-sex marriage.

Actress/director Jodie Foster has commented on Mel Gibson telling Deadline.com "I don't care if I never act again," according to ExtraTV.com . Foster­—who directed and co-stars with Gibson in her movie, The Beaver—said, "I think it would be a tremendous loss to not have him acting again." Gibson stars in The Beaver as a traumatized man, Walter Black, who channels his personality into a beaver puppet—a role some critics are calling the best of his career.

The legal scuffle between openly gay Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and former co-star Nicollette Sheridan has taken a new twist, according to Advocate.com . Sheridan has filed a lawsuit against Cherry and ABC, claiming he physically assaulted her and then fired her after she complained about it. However, producer Lori Kirkland Baker—who worked on the show during the years 2007-09—has corroborated Sheridan's side of the story. A key hearing is slated for May 3.

Cher has expressed her anger with Donald Trump's scrutiny over President Obama's birth certificate, according to Advocate.com . The "Half Breed" singer initially tweeted, "Donald Trump is Pompous Asshole! Saw him in Aspen with one Dcup chick after another. Everyone up there thought he was a complete idiot." A second tweet read, "Pls retweet! Donald Trump (mr chapter11) is Only a Mean Spirited BAD ACTOR who couldn't find his ass with both hands & a map!"

Singer Dionne Warwick and a surviving member of The Shirelles are suing the producers of the new musical Baby It's You for featuring them as characters without their permission, according to the New York Post. The production tells the story of Florence Greenberg, the New Jersey housewife who discovered the Shirelles—the girl group behind the hits "Dedicated to the One I Love" and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow"—and formed her own record label, Scepter Records. The show also features Warwick and "Any Day Now" singer Chuck Jackson; Greenberg signed them as well.

Oprah Winfrey will have a star-studded television special as she ends her talk show, according to Digital Spy. A post on the show's Facebook page said, "We are taping a star-studded special from Chicago's United Center on May 17 that will air on May 23 and 24. Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular will bring together some of the biggest names in entertainment for a one-time-only gathering to celebrate the 25-year legacy of the show!" Her final show will air on May 25, although details have not yet been disclosed.

Aretha Franklin is slated to release her new CD, Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love, May 3. According to Digital Spy, it will be her first studio album since 2003's So Damn Happy, and will be her first release on her own Aretha Records. Franklin has recently been in the news because of medical problems; however, she has not discussed her health publicly.

Singer Adele's newest CD, 21, is set for sixth non-consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200 charts, according to Billboard.com . The album is just the fifth by a woman in the last decade to be number one for that many weeks, following Taylor Swift's Fearless and Speak Now CDs; Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream; and Norah Jones' Feels Like Home.

Cirque du Soleil would like to re-create Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Las Vegas, Billboard.com reported. The Mandalay Bay hotel-casino on the Vegas Strip plans to open an entertainment complex that includes a Jackson-themed lounge, an interactive memorabilia museum and a theater designed to replicate Neverland. Cirque du Soleil's homage to Jackson, the $57-million "Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour," will launch in October in Montreal and will hit 30 cities.

On the eve of Britain's royal wedding, singer Morrissey slammed the event and the royal family. According to Advocate.com, the singer called the bride "Kate Muddleton" and added he wouldn't watch the wedding, calling the family "benefit scroungers." The former singer for the band The Smiths has spoken out against the monarchy for decades, even titling the group's 1986 album The Queen Is Dead.

Lesbian actress Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester on TV's Glee) will join out actor Sean Hayes in the film The Three Stooges, according to Deadline.com . Peter and Bobby Farrelly will direct the film. Lynch will play Mother Superior, who runs the orphanage where Moe, Larry and Curly are raised. Hayes will play Larry, while Chris Diamantopoulos will be Moe and Will Sasso will play Curly.

Rapper Lil B has reportedly received death threats after announcing that his next album would be titled I'm Gay, according to Rolling Stone. "People been hitting me up like, 'I'm gonna bash your head in,' 'you faggot,' 'I'm gonna kill you,'" Lil B told MTV News. "A lot of my supporters have turned on me. It's been a few supporters that's saying, 'I'm not gonna rock with you anymore.'" The rapper said that the title has nothing to do with his own sexuality, adding, "I've never been attracted to a man in my life. But, yes, I am gay; I'm so happy."

Suvir Saran, one of the gay competitors on the current season of Top Chef Masters, was told to leave the show, according to the Dallas Voice. Saran, an Indian chef who is a practicing vegetarian, cooked a vegan burger the judges found tasteless. In his final episode, the chef lectured diners (including gay judge James Oseland) on how red meat was responsible for obesity. The show pits established and celebrity chefs against each other to raise money for charity.

Jason Pfeiffer is standing by his story that he had a gay relationship with the late singer Michael Jackson, according to 411Mania.com . Dr. Arnie Klein, who Pfeiffer was once an office manager for, posted on Facebook that Pfeiffer had made up the story. However, Pfeiffer said, "The story is true. We had a relationship with sexual aspects, but I'm not going to make it into some grand love affair."

Singer Mariah Carey has given birth to twins. According to AccessHollywood.com, Carey and husband Nick Cannon's baby girl was reportedly born first, weighing five pounds, three ounces, and was 18 inches long; a boy was next, at five pounds six ounces, and was 19 inches. The twins arrived on the couple's fourth anniversary (April 30).

Singer Phoebe Snow died recently from complications of a January 2010 brain hemorrhage at the age of 60. According to the Washington Post, her 1974 debut CD launched her into the national spotlight, and her hit single, "Poetry Man," reached number five on the pop charts on 1975. After giving birth to a daughter, Valerie, who had severe brain damage, Snow put her career aside to take care of her; Valerie died in 2007 at age 31. In 2008, Snow had a cameo in the movie based on the Logo series Noah's Arc and had a song, "Come Clean" on the film's soundtrack.

Friends of the late openly gay British fashion designer Alexander McQueen say that he is with them, according to the New York Post. Kristin Knox (author of Alexander McQueen: Genius of a Generation) said that people have said that they have felt his presence around recent runway shows. Lady Gaga recently said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar that McQueen's spirit helped create her single "Born This Way." McQueen committed suicide last year; he was 40 years old.

Speaking of McQueen, several celebrities honored him at the recent Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, according to MTV.com . McQueen was the subject of this year's exhibit, and he made headlines when Kate Middleton wore one of his designs on her wedding day. Sarah Jessica Parker and Salma Hayek were among those who wore McQueen at the gala.

C-SPAN mistakenly listed Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson as an "actress" when talking with him in advance of the White House Correspondents Dinner, according to Advocate.com . Ferguson tweeted a screen grab and said he's starting to worry because it's the third time he's been called an actress on television. Last year, Entertainment Tonight listed Glee's Chris Colfer as a Golden Globe nominee for Best Supporting Actress.

After hosting a screening for her transgender son's documentary, Becoming Chaz, Cher expressed how proud she is of him, according to an Advocate.com item. Becoming Chaz, which will premiere on OWN May 10, follows Chaz's transition from female to male. "I admire my son Chaz's courage for sharing his personal journey," Cher is quoted as saying after the screening. "Most important to me is that he is very happy."

Kevin Keller, the Archie Comics' gay character, will have a military connection has he will introduce his father, a three-star general, according to Advocate.com . The cover of the comic shows Kevin embracing his father and saying, "Dad, you're my hero!" The story will appear in the second issue of Kevin's spin-off series this August.

Steven Soderbergh will direct Channing Tatum in the movie Magic Mike, which has Tatum portraying an experienced stripper who takes a newcomer under his wing, according to Advocate.com . Last year, Soderbergh said that the upcoming movie Liberace, starring Michael Douglas, would be his last movie. However, "[w]hen Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I'd ever heard for a movie," Soderbergh said in a statement. "I said I wanted in immediately. It's sexy, funny, and shocking.

Even though he hosts American Idol, Ryan Seacrest is apparently starting his own singing competition, MTV.com reported. Seacrest is in early talks with NBC to head a music-themed prime-time reality show, but its structure is supposedly unlike Idol's. Also, the show will not directly compete with Idol, which pays Seacrest $15 million annually.

Film director Baz Lurhmann recently revealed that several actors—including Courtney Love, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal—were in contention for the lead roles in Moulin Rouge that eventually went to Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, according to MTV.com . "Dear Heath Ledger, [he had] incredible scenes with Nicole," Luhrmann said. "Because at one stage, Christian [the role that went to McGregor] was very young, he was a younger guy, and then I was aware of Ewan but I didn't know if he could sing."

Director Kathryn Bigelow, who bested ex-husband James Cameron when she won an Oscar for The Hurt Locker last year, will film a project on the U.S. Navy Seal team that killed Osama bin Laden, according to Digital Spy. She will reunite with screenwriter Mark Boal for the untitled thriller, revolving around the military operation in Pakistan that resulted in the death of the al-Qaida leader.

Desperate Housewives actor Ricardo Chavira, who plays Carlos, has been arrested for driving under the influence, according to an US Magazine item. Chavira, 39, was pulled over for a routine traffic stop when cops reportedly smelled alcohol on his breath; he then failed field sobriety tests.

George Michael has addressed the absence of his musical submission from the coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials, Digital Spy reported. Michael, 47, recently unveiled a special cover of Stevie Wonder's "You and I" for the big day—but broadcaster's mostly ignored it. Michael tweeted, "''You and I' seems to be getting more radio than I thought it would. which is great. Had hoped to hear a few seconds amongst the incredible BBC coverage, but alas, it was not to be... Apparently they used it on TV in Norway, lol !"

Tony Award nominations have come out—and the gay-inclusive The Book of Mormon (from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone) snagged 14 nods, including best musical and one for out gay actor Rory O'Malley, according to Advocate.com . The Scottsboro Boys earned 12 nominations, including one for Colman Domingo, a Windy City Queercast contributor known for his roles on TV's The Big Gay Sketch Show. Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart—which chronicles the early years of the AIDS epidemic in New York—received five nominations for its Broadway debut; Priscilla, Queen of the Desert got two nods, including one for out actor Tony Sheldon as transgender character Bernadette.
