Star-studded lineup includes comedian Wanda Sykes, The Voice's Jamar Rogers, B.E.T.'s Adam Emil and entertainer Michael Feinstein!
WHAT: AIDS Run & Walk Chicago celebrates its 11th year with post-race performances by Jamar Rogers of NBC's The Voice and B.E.T.'s YA HEARD new artist competition winner, Adam Emil, on Sept. 30. The star-studded guest list also includes a race kick-off by comedian/actress Wanda Sykes as well as an appearance by two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated entertainer Michael Feinstein.
This year's AIDS Run & Walk kicks off at Chicago's iconic Soldier Field with the 5K and 10K courses winding along the lakeshore. More than 4,500 runners/walkers are expected to take part.
Panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt will also be on display, and HIV testing will be available on site.
Funds raised through the AIDS Run & Walk benefit programs and services for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and 35 other city organizations that provide life-saving services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Since it was established in 2001, AIDS Run & Walk Chicago has netted more than $1.3 million to battle the epidemic.
