Chicago native Cameron Esposito returns to her hometown with her wife and fellow comedian Rhea Butcher for a show at the Vic Theater on Saturday, Oct. 14 on their multi-city "Back To Back" stand-up tour.
Cameron and Rhea are the stars and creators of the hit TV comedy series "Take My Wife" which ran for two seasons and was critically hailed by The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vulture and IndieWire. They are notably the first gay, married couple to co-create, co-star and co-show run a TV show. Both Cameron and Rhea were also named in Variety's prestigious "Comics To Watch" list, and released stand-up albums on legendary record label Kill Rock Stars and both saw their records go to #1 on iTunes Comedy. Cameron and Rhea's Back To Back Tour will offer fans around the country the chance to hear both comedians edgy and human takes on love, identity and pop culture when they take the stage individually and together each night performing all new material.
Offstage, fans recognize Cameron from movie roles including Mother's Day, First Girl I Loved, Operator, Sleight; and on TV on Maron, AdventureTime, We Bare Bears, Late Night with James Corden. Likewise, fans know Rhea from appearances on Conan, Comedy Central's @Midnight and The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail and Adam Ruins Everything.
Cameron has a new podcast called "Queery" which is a 60-minute interview show with queer luminaries like Transparent creator Jill Soloway, actor Evan Rachel Wood, musicians Tegan and Sara and community activist Madin Lopez. Rhea was interviewed for episode 1. The show has been featured on iTunes New & Noteworthy and garnered a huge listener response in its first few weeks.
Back home in L.A., Cameron and Rhea co-host the weekly comedy show and podcast Put Your Hands Together at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
