The Homosexuals, About Face Theatre at the Biograph, through July 24. This production focuses on a decade in the life of a once-naive young gay man, told via two-person flashbacks through friends and lovers. Philip Dawkins's serio-comic world premiere is smart writing, and is well-acted. JA
A Girl With Sun In Her Eyes, Pine Box Theatre at the Second Stage, through Aug. 7. What was only talked about in A Steady Rain is depicted with relentless crime-noir cynicism in this world premiere thriller, and we hang on its every gritty twist and turn. MSB
The Women, Circle Theatre, through Aug. 14. Clare Booth Luce's classic and very catty 1936 comedy featuring an all-women cast is essential Gay 101 cultural viewing. Circle Theatre provides a fine opportunity to see the unsanitized original play. SCM
Yellow Face, Silk Road Theatre Project, through July 17. David Henry Hwang's ethnographic twist on the old tale of The Emperor's New Clothes makes for savage satire and insightful arguments ultimately championing the all-American tradition of self-reinvention. MSB
