Move would split GLBT community in half
Chicago Sun-Times gossip columnist Michael Sneed reported last week that a proposed remap of the state's legislative districts would split the GLBT community in Lakeview in half.
According to Sneed, Ald. Bernie Hansen ( 44th Ward ) had requested to be taken out of the legislative district of U.S. Rep Jan Schakowsky and moved into the district of Rep. Rod Blagojevich. The move would let Hansen run for Blagojevich's congressional seat if Blagojevich runs for governor.
