Philadelphia led by 19 midway through the second quarter before Chicago went on a big run to get back into the game prior to halftime, ESPN noted. The Bulls took the lead in the third quarter, and it remained tight the rest of the way.
DeMar DeRozan, who reached the 20,000-point milestone in an Oct. 28 loss at San Antonio, led Chicago with 24. Nikola Vucevic added 23 points and 19 rebounds.
The Bulls will next visit the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Victor Olofsson scored twice, including in overtime, as the Buffalo Sabres beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Oct. 29 in New York.
Jason Dickinson, Sam Lafferty and Taylor Raddysh scored for Chicago, per ESPN. Arvid Soderblom made 41 saves in his season debut.
Patrick Kane played his 1,115th regular-season game with the Blackhawks, passing Brent Seabrook for third place on the franchise list.
Chicago will next host Minnesota on Sunday, Oct. 30, in the opener of a three-game homestand.
