The body of a West Suburban gay man who went missing two weeks ago was recovered May 24, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Howard Wax was last seen at his River Forest home the morning of May 12. His automobile was located several hours later at the side of the Chicago Skyway bridge.
The Cook County medical examiner's office told the Tribune that Wax's body was recovered near the 3200 block of East 97th Street. His death was ruled a suicide, and no foul play was involved, according to authorities.
Wax, an attorney, was a co-president of the mainly-LGBT synagogue Congregation Or Chadash for several years.
UPDATE: Funeral services for Wax will be at Oak Park Temple, 1235 N. Harlem Ave., Oak Park, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30. Services will be followed by burial at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
