A body found July 4 is believed to be that of a man who went missing during Pride celebrations June 30.
Christopher Evans went missing early Sunday morning after spending Saturday night partying with friends at Roscoe's Tavern in Boystown.
According to friends, the Evergreen Park resident was not himself this night he went missing. He was last seen walking towards the lake at approximately 1:30 a.m., friends said.
Evans, who friends said identified as straight, was celebrating Pride with a group of friends over the weekend.
Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said that police were notified of a body at 3500 N. Belmont Harbor at approximately 8:30 a.m. July 4. Zala said that the body was that of a male in his 20s.
Loyola University, where Evans worked and was pursuing his M.B.A., confirmed that the body was that of Evans, according to the Chicago Tribune.
