At the United Center on Feb. 17, the Chicago Blackhawks (18-25-7) lost a 7-4 game to the Columbus Blue Jackets (24-23-1).
Philipp Kurashev and Ryan Carpenter notched multi-point nights with a goal and an assist each, with MacKenzie Entwistle and Alex DeBrincat finding the net as well in the loss. Arvid Soderblom made 30 stops in his second start of the season.
With a third-period assist, Patrick Kane tied Denis Savard for second in Blackhawks all-time assists at 719. They trail only Stan Mikita, who had 926.
The Blackhawks next play Friday, Feb. 18, at the United Center as the Dallas Stars make their first visit of the season.
