The Chicago Blackhawks (16-21-7) fell short against the powerful Colorado Avalanche (31-8-3) at the United Center on Jan. 28, losing 6-4.
Patrick Kane and Brandon Hagel each had a pair of goals on the night, while Marc-Andre Fleury made 21 stops in the loss.
In a wild game, Chicago and Colorado combined for eight goals in the third period.
Chicago next hosts the Vancouver Canucks on Monday, Jan. 31, at the United Center.
The Chicago Bulls (30-18) also lost Jan. 28, coming out on the short end of a 131-122 game against the San Antonio Spurs (19-31).
DeMar DeRozanrecently named as a starter of the East's All-Star teamled Chicago with 32 points. Dejounte Murray led the Spurs with 29 points.
It is the first time a Bulls player has been a starter in an All-Star Game since 2017, and DeRozan's fifth All-Star selection overall. In his first season with Chicago, the 13-year veteran has averaged 26.4 points (6th in the NBA and his highest scoring average since 2016-17) to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
