Black Poses for PETA

Legendary horror queen and gay icon Karen Black, whose decades-spanning career includes both Alfred Hitchcock's classic Family Plot and Rob Zombie's recent House of 1,000 Corpses can now add a PETA ( People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals ) pin-up to her résumé.

The Gothic new PETA poster features a sultry Black reclining against a tombstone bearing the inscription 'I Wouldn't Be Caught Dead in Fur.' Black, a longtime animal-rights supporter, has shared her house with several cats since she first moved to Hollywood to co-star with Jack Nicholson in Five Easy Pieces, a role that landed her an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award. She also won a Golden Globe for The Great Gatsby and earned a Grammy nomination for her songs in Robert Altman's Nashville. The eclectic icon's PETA ad appeared in movie magazines and horror fanzines just in time for Halloween.
