HB-A Hearty Boys Spot

3404 N. Halsted St., Chicago

( 773 ) 661-0299

Hours: Brunch 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Dinner Tue-Sat 5-11 p.m.

www.HeartyBoys.com

Cuisine: Naw'lins cafe.

Ambiance: After month-long remodel, the same, but replaced prep area with more tables and got rid of entire staff.

Appetizer To Die For: Beignets—a must have. Must!

Best Bets: Cannot go wrong, except the quiche and tart crusts lack flakiness due to possible reheating in microwave. Don't forget the brown sugar glazed bacon.

Sweet Temptations: Roasted tropical fruit en papillote with white chocolate and passion fruit whipped cream. Oh my goooooodness.

Veggie-sexual? Try: The Prosecco and Summer Fruit Terrine.

But What To Drink?: Cafe du Monde drip coffee with chickory. BYOV or or BYOCh for a Bloody Mary or Mimosa.

Service: Where did everybody go? An entirely new staff to serve you.

Price Range: Brunch: totally reasonable. Dinner in the late teens.
