The 10th annual Chicago Asian American Showcase is April 1-14, including the following films of gay interest:
— ETHAN MAO ( feature ) , Saturday, April 9, 8:15 p.m. and Thursday, April 14, 6:15.
— DICK HO: ASIAN MALE PORN STAR ( short film ) , Saturday, April 2, 10:15 p.m. only.

The latest feature from Quentin Lee is Ethan Mao. Kicked out of his house for being gay, Ethan ( Jun Hee Lee ) hustles on the street where he finds love and affection from another young street kid, Remigio ( Jerry Hernandez ) . Together they return to Ethan's house to retrieve some things when his family returns unexpectedly. Everything changes when Ethan is forced to confront his homophobic father and stepmother. The situation gets desperate when Ethan and Remigio take the family hostage, but only then does a formerly repressed and subjugated teen suddenly have the power to speak and confront those who have injured him.

Game Boy by Kevin Choi explores a videogame designer's quest to discover the ideal man. This film is in the 'From a Distance' short film program.
